Georgie Ruth Haney

Georgie Ruth Haney, 87, of Weatherford, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at her residence. Funeral service: 2 p.m, Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Center Point Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m, Friday at the funeral home. Ruth was born December 19, 1929 in Parker County, Texas to George and Effie Short Sims. She was a homemaker and a devoted member of Center Point Baptist Church. Ruth enjoyed crafting and crocheting, making blankets, placemats and coffee cup coasters. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Belinda Porco, son, Carroll Wayne Haney and a sister, Laviena Sneed. Ruth is survived by her husband of 67 years, B.H. Haney; sister, Bonnie Moore and numerous extended family members.
