Gaylene (Jack) Arnold Linguist was born April 3,1956, at Campbell Memorial Hospital, Weatherford. Gaylene expired September 18, 2022, at Keenelend Nursing and Rehabilitation Center due to natural causes. Gaylene was the oldest of four children born to the late Alenda Alyine Jack and H.K. Jack. 

Gaylene was widowed by Dannie K. Arnold and Carl S. Linguist. She was mother to two fine sons, Danny Kenneth Arnold (Crystal) and Andrew Scott Linguist. Gaylene was "Gi Gi" to the loves of her life, Sydney Ryan Arnold, Danny Kade Arnold, and Gage Ryan Linguist. Also, she was the oldest sister to three siblings, Harvey “Randy” Jack, Sharron Riedel (Danny), and Greta Dianne Hensley (James). 

Gaylene was born and raised in Weatherford, Texas. She attended York Ave Baptist Church where at the age of 9 she was saved and baptized. God blessed her with the ability to sing, play the piano and organ along with several other instruments. At age 15 she started playing piano/organ at church. From ages 18-23 she played/sang for the Carnay Family Gospel Group. She also played/sang with Brother Bill Jacobs on Sunday afternoon for his Weatherford, Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto jail and nursing home services. She also played services for Brother Pugh's church. Gaylene graduated from high school in 1974 and graduated from nursing school in 1979. She worked as a nurse for 35 years before retiring in 2014 due to health issues. She lived out her final years at Keenelend Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
