Frank Pool

Frank Pool passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017. He was born in Cumberland, OK on
November 3, 1932 to Allie and Maude Pool.
Frank met his lifelong love, Oneida (Underhill) Pool while attending school in Madill, Ok. They were married in 1951 and they always lived life as “one”. They had two children, Mike Pool and Barbara (Pool) Childers.
Frank and his family moved to West Texas and lived in Brownfield, Kermit, Seminole and settled in Odessa in 1963. They lived in Odessa until 1986. Frank and Oneida spent some time at Possum Kingdom Lake where Frank loved working in the yard, boating, and golfing. They moved to Weatherford in 1994. They are active members of Northside Baptist Church.
Frank was a hero to so many; his children, his grandchildren, his wife, nieces, nephews. He was a role model as a father, husband, and a Christian. He always did the right thing because it was the right thing to do. He was fair and compassionate and willing to help those in need but always in a quiet way, never expecting or wanting recognition or praise for his works.
Frank went to work for Sharp Drilling Company in 1951 and worked his way up from roughneck to Vice President before retiring from there in 1986. He continued consulting in the oil and gas business, overseeing drilling operations in Africa, Alabama, and West Texas. He also consulted for EOG Services in Weatherford until his last retirement in 2009.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Harold Pool and Wendel Pool, and his grandson Matthew Pool. He is survived by his wife, Oneida; son Mike and wife Karla Pool; daughter Barbara and husband Don Childers; Grandsons: Pat Pool, Kasey Cauble, Coby Pool, Brandon Pool, Joshua Pool; Granddaughter: Melissa Pool. And 10 great grandchildren.

Services for Frank will be at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 18th. Burial will be 3PM, Saturday in Madill, Ok.
