Floyd Willis McCracken

  Floyd Willis McCracken, age 94, of Hilltop Lakes, Texas, passed away Monday, November 16, 2009. He was born February 26, 1915 in Hill County. He had been a resident of Fort Worth and Weatherford before moving to Hilltop Lakes in 1987. Floyd retired in 1977 as an electrician for the Missouri Pacific Railroad. He was a member of the Baptist faith, Handley Masonic Lodge, and the Railroad Electrical Union. He and his wife loved traveling across the United States in their motor home after his retirement. 

  He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Maude McCracken; two sisters, Hazel Thrasher and Helen Finley; grandson, Randy Savell; and son-in-law, Billy F. Savell. 

  Survivors include his wife, Sybal McCracken of Hilltop Lakes; two daughters, Thelma Jane Savell of Madisonville, Texas, and Gerri June Duke and husband, Tony of Waco, Texas; two grandchildren, Bengie Savell and wife, Debbie of Madisonville, and Sandy Duke of Westcliffe, Co; four great grandchildren, Jamin Savell and his wife, Rachel of Madisonville, Stephanee Savell of San Marcos, Weston Savell Madisonville, Corey Savell and his wife, Kathy, of Bryan, and their two children, Randy and Carly. 

  Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 21, 2009, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, with interment in the Cresson Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 20, 2009, at the funeral home.
