Florence Fay Montgomery

Florence Fay Montgomery, age 77, of Weatherford, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 7:20 AM. She was born January 26, 1932 in Clarksville, Arkansas to Soloman Harrison and Dora May Earnest. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, older brother Tommy and a twin brother, Lawrence. She has been a resident of Weatherford for eight years and was a member of the First Baptist Church after living in Pasadena, Texas, for 38 years. Florence was passionate about her family and her nursing career, which she waited to pursue after her children were in school. She enjoyed nursing for 25 years before her retirement. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to give their thanks and   appreciation to Alpha Omega Hospice for their care.  Survivors: Husband – Floyd Harold Montgomery, with whom she would have celebrated   60 years of marriage on May 7. Three Daughters – Linda Burks and husband, Ronnie of Weatherford, Cheryl Foster and husband, Michael of Washington D C, Teresa Smith and husband, Greg of LaPorte,Texas. Seven Grandchildren – Byron, Dawn, Charlie, Nathan, Fayre, Harrison, And Hannah, Four Great Grandchildren, Two Sisters – Ardell Hawkins of New Caney, Virgia McCarty of West, Numerous nieces and nephews.    Funeral service will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, March 24, 2009 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment at a later date Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.Visitation will be 6-8 PM on Monday, March 23, 2009 at the funeral home.
