Etta Mae Ruland

December 6, 1934 — November 14, 2009

Etta Mae Ruland, age 74, went to be with her Lord and Savior, early Saturday morning, November 14, 2009.  She was born December 6, 1934 in Kennedale,Texas, and raised in Reno. She attended Springtown High School and was a resident of Parker County most of her life.  Etta was a member of  Friendship Baptist Church, she loved children and her family.  She lived in the Veal Station and Friendship communities, loved quilting, especially with her sisters, and was a charitable lady and volunteered in Church, Community and School activities. She was preceded in death by her parents, Iris Roy and Edna Mae Farquhar  and two brothers, Harold and Arnold Farquhar. Survivors: Husband of 54 years – Duard Ruland of the Veal Station Community, Daughter – Kellie Harris and husband, Jeff of Glen Rose, Son – Kenny Ruland and wife, Shelley of Sanger, 3 Grandchildren – Krista Harris, Hunter Harris, and Trey Ruland, Sisters – Twin sister, Dora Long and husband, Ben of Weatherford, Ronita Hokett of Lake Worth, Mabel Trotter and husband, Garland of Abilene, Brother – Jimmy Farquhar and wife Jeannie of Springtown, Numerous nieces and nephews whom she was very fond of.
Funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, November 17, 2009 in the Friendship Baptist Church with interment in the Clark Cemetery.   Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Monday, Nov. 16, 2009 at the funeral home.
