Ethel Mae Casey

Ethel Mae Casey was born on May 16, 1924 in Jerrell, Texas. Ethel went to be with the lord on February 23, 2015.
 

 
She served during World War II as a nurse and was in the Women's Auxiliary Army Corps, also known as WAC.
 
After receiving an honorary discharge she married Roy Victor Casey, a Navy veteran. They had two sons, Roy Victor Casey, Jr. and Donald Glen Casey and raised their family in Abilene.
 
After divorcing, Ethel accepted a job as an LVN with the Texas Department of Corrections in Palestine. She retired after 10 years with TDC and eventually moved to Weatherford to be near her grandchildren, Heather and Brittany.
 
Ethel loved her grandchildren and she was very proud to be a veteran.
 
Ethel is preceeded in death by her parents, silbings and son, Roy.
 
She is survived by her son, Glen and his wife Tina, granddaughters, Heather and Brittany, great-grandson, Casey and many nieces and nephews.
 

Graveside: 3pm Monday, March 2, 2015 at East Greenwood Cemetery.
