Ellen Marie Mosier

October 24, 1930 — February 26, 2019

Ellen Marie Mosier has temporarily slipped from our grasp Tuesday, 26-Feb-2019 in a Weatherford, Texas hospital at the age of 88 years, 4 months, and 2 days.
Ye know not the hour... I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. With love in our hearts we celebrate all that was good, and decent, and noble about this life so well lived. Our funny, sweet, loving, and sometimes slightly bonkers mother, sister, aunt, cousin, grandmother, and great-grandmother has passed on into the loving, cradling hands of her Lord. How to sum up such a full and long life in a few inadequate words? It's surely not possible. The dry facts to follow of dates and names, birth, death, and the dash in between are poor conveyors of the rich life she led and the lives she touched, and so her vivid memory will live on in the fond, smiling remembrances of her family and friends, until that day when we are all reunited. Born 24-Oct-1930 in Crescent, Oklahoma to Rev. Dr. Claude Clayton Mosier (AKA Calvin "Callie" Lloyd Bloom) of Oklahoma and Wenoma Margaret Albright of Fort Worth, Marie was the third of six sisters, and spent most of her life in north central Texas. A 1947 graduate of North Side High School in Fort Worth, she married her first husband, Jake Paslay Jr of Fort Worth, in Weatherford, Texas and to this union were born six children: Jake "Jacob" Paslay III, Clayton Derwood Paslay, Crystal Elizabeth Paslay, Timothy Wayne Paslay, Amber Margaret Paslay, and Daniel Keith Paslay, all in Tarrant County. On 21-Oct-1968 in Durant, Oklahoma she wed Frank Bradford Felmey, Jr. who was originally from Bridgeton, NJ and thence to Fort Worth, TX. This union produced Frank Bradford Felmey, III and Nelda Marie Felmey, both born in Fort Worth. Throughout her life she was a faithful servant of God, and never hesitated to do what she believed he led her to do. The ebbs and flows of life never changed her dedication nor determination to that which she believed to be right. Those carrying her memory onward include all of her children and their spouses, dozens of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her two remaining sisters Lynda Gregory of Tampa, FL and Jaletta (Mosier) Cooley of Richardson, TX, a great many nieces, nephews, and grands of the same, and several fine cousins.
Greeting her in glory are her parents, her sisters Yvonne (Bloom) Mercer, Latova (Mosier) Ferguson, and Jackie Davis, plus two other members of the "Fab Five" - cousins Mary June (Hardin) George and Ina Lorene (Hardin) Meadows.

The family will have a private memorial at the next family reunion.
