Elizabeth Harris (nee Waters) has left us to join the Heavenly Choir. She died at home on September 16 in Fort Worth, TX at the age of 95.

Young II of Fort Worth.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Harris; father and mother, Earl C. Waters and Maggie F. Fullerton; sister, Charlene Cowan; and brothers, Earl C. Waters, Jr. and Alfred Waters.

Elizabeth Waters Harris was born on July 11, 1926 in Colton, CA. She graduated from Weatherford High School in 1944. She attended Weatherford College and the University of North Texas. Afterwards, she taught school in Knott, TX before moving to California and making her career at Pacific Life Insurance Company. In 1971 she married her former boss at Pacific Life. Jerry and Elizabeth lived in California until 1982 when they moved to Weatherford, TX. After Jerry passed, she stayed there until 2014 before moving to Fort Worth. Elizabeth was known for her singing talent which she demonstrated in various groups such as the California Anaheim Senior Citizens Club Choir and their Six Pack Sextet, the Parker County Senior Sensationals Choir, the Dukes of Uke and Uke-a-Ladies of White Settlement Senior Services, and Central Christian Church's Choir of Weatherford, TX.

Elizabeth's other passion was Genealogy. She spent hours researching family, but also helping others with their Family Trees. Her third Great Grandfather William Fullerton fought at the Battle of San Jacinto for Texas's Independence, and her Water's ancestors fought in the American Revolution.

Graveside service: 1 pm, Monday, September 20, 2021 at Oakland Cemetery in Weatherford.
