Edith Arlene Whitehead

Edith Arlene Whitehead, 70, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, of Weatherford, passed away on Friday evening, October 29, 2021, in Weatherford.

A graveside committal service will be held at 11 A.M., on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at East Greenwood Cemetery, 400 Front Street, in Weatherford.

Edith was born on December 27, 1950, in Weatherford, to Frank and Edith Mosley. On April 29, 1969, Edith married Dewayne Whitehead and together, had two children, Jamie and Corey. Over the years, she volunteered at various local organizations. She played church league softball. She enjoyed cooking. Most of all, Edith will be remembered for the love and devotion she had for her family.

Edith is survived by her husband, Dewayne; her children, Jamie Whitehead of Weatherford; her son, Corey and wife Valarie Whitehead of Weatherford; her granddaughter, Ellison; her sister, Janice Burris of Waco, Texas; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Jackson.
