Edgar W. Brawley

Edgar Washington “EW” Brawely, Jr, 85, of Aledo, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.

A graveside committal service will be held at 2 P.M., on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Central Cemetery north of Weatherford.

EW was born on December 20, 1935, in Poolville, Texas to Edgar Washington, Sr., and Stella Maude Brawley. In the 1950’s, he served in the Texas National Guard. On August 12, 1977 he married Loretta Harris. He worked for nearly 20 years at Lockheed Martin/General Dynamics. He enjoyed flying and was an aircraft fabricator. A devout Christian, EW was a longtime member of the Restoration Family Church in Benbrook. EW will be remembered for being a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

EW is survived by his wife, Loretta, his children, Kimberly and husband Larry Hawkins, Scott and wife Rita Brawley, Tony and wife Mary Brawley, step-sons, Charles and Cordell Hull; his grandchildren, Daniel, Jessie, Beau, Jason, and Char; and by three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, EW was preceded in death by his sister, Edna Mae Olds.
