Dr. Grady Harold O'Neal

August 9, 1926 — April 26, 2015

Dr. Grady Harold O’Neal of Annetta, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 26, at 2:40 a.m. surrounded by loved ones.  He was born August 9, 1926 in Salina, Texas. Harold served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and subsequently went to Texas Tech University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in electrical engineering in 1951. He met his wife Maxine and married on February 13, 1953 while a youth director at Friendship Baptist Church where he was later called to the ministry.
Dr. O’Neal was a long and faithful servant to the ministry and pastored several churches during his lifetime. He also was one of the founders of Trinity Valley Baptist Seminary.  He retired from the ministry at the age of 81. During these years, he earned a master of divinity and a doctor of divinity. He also worked at Lockheed Martin for almost 40 years as an electrical engineering specialist, and active in his local community serving as Mayor of Annetta for two consecutive terms. 
Dr. O’Neal is survived by his wife of 62 years and love of his life Maxine. He is also survived by five children, their spouses and children: Joyce and Brad Hood, Aledo, Texas; Nathan, Micah and Ben Hood; Randy and Janet O’Neal, Southlake, Texas; Rachel, Joshua, and Zachary O’Neal; Carrie and Bill Carden, Hudson Oaks, Texas; Kim and Vaughn Watkins; Weatherford, Texas; Bethany, Naomi and Jared Watkins; Donna and Rocky Otwell, Mount Enterprise, Texas; Lauren Otwell Pace, Faith Otwell Fortmann, Ryan Otwell, Lindsay Otwell Moench, Kelsea Otwell, and Reilly Otwell. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Longvue Baptist Church, Fort Worth. Interment: Annetta Cemetery. Vistiation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Galrbeaith Pickard Funeral Home.
