Dovie Mae Barber

We are saddened to tell the news that on July 4, 2016, Dovie Mae Barber, 73, of Weatherford, was called home to be with Jesus, at Regional Medical Center in Weatherford.
A graveside committal service will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Saturday, July 9, at Greenwood Community Cemetery in Weatherford. A visitation will be held on Friday evening, from 5 until 8, at the Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford.
Dovie was born January 21, 1942 in Poolville to Olan and Claris Estes. She married Ted Barber September 23, 1958 at Greenwood Baptist Church and together had 4 children. She was a long-time member of Couts United Methodist Church – Weatherford. Dovie worked for many years as a Hallmark Card Specialist at Walmart in Weatherford. She will affectionately be remembered as being a wonderful loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother!
Dovie is survived by her husband, Ted; sons, Michael and David of Weatherford, and Larry of Michigan, and daughter, Vickie of Arkansas; 7 grandchild; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Maurine of Weatherford; and by her brother, Waymon of Kentucky.
