Dover Louise Lewis

Dover Louise Lewis, age 99, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Dover was born August 11, 1921, in Weatherford, Texas, to George and Valvree Ellis Rucker. She was a domestic assistant working for Dr. Whalen for over 30 years. Dover loved to cook and was known as a marvelous baker. She was a member of the Prince Memorial CME Church and the Eastern Star. 

Dover was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; and a son, David Simmons.

Dover is survived by her daughter, Valvaree Kerr of Leander; sons, Louis Simmons of Cedar Hill, Ralph Simmons, Sr. of Mineral Wells, Charles Simmons of Weatherford, and Carl Simmons of Mineral Wells; 25 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and 3 great great great grandchildren,

Visitation: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at North Side Baptist Church, with a funeral ceremony to follow at 2:00 p.m.
