Dorothy L. Rose

  Dorothy L. Rose, 74, of Weatherford, died Saturday, June 07, 2008, at her residence. Dorothy was born September 22, 1933, in the Bethel Community, west of Memphis, Texas, a resident of Weatherford since 1978; she enjoyed numerous things including her children and grandchildren, square dancing, music concerts, eating out with friends, and Sunday drives to the river with Dad. She was a homemaker and a member of Couts United Methodist Church, and worked for Weatherford College in the Cafeteria for many years. 

  Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Walter D. and Willie Ora McKee of Groom, Texas; sister, Opal McKee Bufkin of Stratford; and brother, Voda David McKee of Groom, Texas.

  She is survived by: husband, M. Carl Rose Jr. of Weatherford; daughter, Carleta Rose of Willow Park; son, Darrell Rose and wife, Toni of Weatherford; sister, Emma Jean Houschler of Mountain View, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Spencer Rose of Altus, Oklahoma, Monica Lynn Elizabeth Rose of Weatherford, and Angelica Burch of Weatherford; great grandchildren, Braden Rose and Tyler Hicks; and niece, Ann Mitchell of Stratford.

  Funeral service, 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Interment in Annetta Cemetery. Visitation 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
