Dorothy Elaine Morgan

  Dorothy Elaine Morgan, 78, of Weatherford, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013, after a seven year battle with cancer. Dorothy was born December 2, 1934, in Fort Worth, to Stella Mae and Martin Wilson Parish.

  Mrs. Morgan was a lifelong resident of Parker County. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She loved to sing and play the piano at area nursing homes and enjoyed baking cakes and candies. She was a longtime member of TOPS and achieved her weight loss goal. Dorothy was also a caretaker to many.

  Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, JC Morgan; a daughter, Glenda Faye Mires; a sister, Margret Ard; and two brothers, Thomas and Donald Parish.

  Survivors include her son, Jerry Ragle; nine step-children; sister, Barbara Roberts and husband, Dan; brothers, Harold Parish and wife, Gwen, and Jerald Parish; seven grandchildren, Lee, B.J. and Dakotah Mires, and Tom, Levi, Erik, and Melanie Ragle, two great grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

  Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, with interment in the Annetta Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at the funeral home.
