Dolores Chapman

Dolores Chapman of Weatherford, Texas, died peacefully at her home surrounded by family on September 3, 2023. She was 82 years old. Dolores was born in Pueblo, Colorado, on August 20, 1941, but she had lived in Weatherford for most of her adult life. After raising three children and working in a variety of roles, including school cafeteria cook, housekeeper, and bookkeeper, Dolores returned to school at Weatherford College, where she earned her associate degree in nursing. She then earned her BS in Nursing at Texas Christian University, graduating with honors. After graduation, she worked as a registered nurse for over 20 years in the emergency room of Campbell Memorial Hospital, where her caring and dedicated spirit touched hundreds of patients.

Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Chapman, of Annetta. She is survived by her son, Allen Scoville, and his wife, Becca; her daughter, Kathy Stelter, and her husband, Walt; and her daughter, Teresa Edwards; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her dear friend of over 50 years, Lavonne Brock.

Her funeral will be a private ceremony for family members and friends. If you are attending the ceremony, please wear pink, white or red, if possible, in honor of our precious Momma.
