Dennis Alan Marshall

September 2, 1955 — April 21, 2021

Following a long battle against Parkinson’s Disease, Dennis Alan Marshall, 65, of Weatherford, passed from this earth in the early hours of April 21, 2021. He is now with his Lord and Savior and family members who went ahead of him.

Dennis was born in Weatherford, Texas on September 2, 1955 to Guy Eugene Marshall, Sr., and Earlene Richards Marshall. Together with his twin sister, Debbie, he was the last of five siblings. He was a Master Electrician and worked in several interesting places, including New Orleans, LA, before returning to Weatherford to finish his career working beside his father who also was a Master Electrician.

Dennis was a 1974 Weatherford High School graduate. He attended Weatherford College and later graduated from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, with an education degree.

A life-long sports fan, he was always eager to discuss football and baseball, and was especially fond of conversations involving the Oklahoma Sooners and Kennedale High School.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Barbara Marshall Hamilton and brother-in-law, Charles Hamilton; his brother, John Sanford Marshall; and brother, Guy Eugene Marshall, Jr.

He leaves a fiancé, Jacque Weeks; a twin sister, Debra Marshall Lovelace and brother-in-law, Terry Lovelace; a sister-in-law, Miriam Marshall; nephew, Ryan Lovelace and wife, Roxanne; nephew, Jett Lovelace and wife, Heather; nephew, Brady Lovelace and fiancé, Jessica Anthony; nephew, Tony Hamilton; niece, Kate Marshall; niece, Sheryl Hamilton Brown; four great-nephews and six great-nieces; and numerous cousins and friends.

Visitation will be at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27th. Funeral services and burial will be a private, family-only event.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Parkinson’s Foundation in his honor (Parkinson.org).
