Dayna Lynn Winfrey, 64, of Lipan, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 10, 2008. Dayna was born April 3, 1944 in Washington, D.C.
In her early years, Dayna taught art in elementary school and was a day school director. Dayna was a Pawn Broker and a part time cashier for Albertson’s in Weatherford. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lipan and was active in her Sunday school class. She was a wonderful photographer, artistic and never met a stranger. She was a spiritual, loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was full of love, life and laughter, and loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Nornazee Brooks; grandfather and grandmother, Brooks; grandfather and grandmother, Brent; and an uncle and aunt, Jack and Eleanore Green.
She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Michael Thomas Winfrey; daughters, Renee McKinney and husband, Craig, Shelly Howard and husband, Steve, and Shelly Knight and husband, Billy, son; Bobby Votruba and wife, Amy; father, Fredrick T. Brooks and wife, Gwen; brother, Jeff L. Brooks and wife, Mary; grandchildren, Brandy Pollifrone and husband, Scott, Tiffany McKinney, Michael McKinney, Robin Votruba, Carlene Turvine, Cody Knight, and Amanda Knight; two great grandchildren, Joseph Pollifrone and Shelbi Knight; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services: 2:00 p.m., Friday, at First Baptist Church of Lipan.
Burial: Johnson Cemetery
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
