David Eugene Nichols

November 8, 1956 — January 15, 2021

David was born on November 8, 1956 to Jerry Nichols and Jean Nichols Cason. He was a member of North Side Baptist Church. He graduated from Weatherford High School- class of 1975. David worked in construction and was self-employed most of his life. David loved riding motorcycles and traveled many miles enjoying rides on his motorcycles. He enjoyed the last years of his life traveling with his lifetime friend, Rick Jones, lovingly referred to as “Jonesy” by David. He was a member of the Chula Chasers, and it was very important to him to make handmade items for the many charity events hosted by the Chula Chasers.

David was very family oriented and loved his family unconditionally. His daughter Nichele was the light of his life. David spent his entire life surrounded on special occasions and regular days alike by his very close large family. Perhaps one of David’s greatest friends was his schnauzer, Buddy. Buddy loved his Daddy and misses him terribly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Nichols, and his stepfather Ronald Cason.

Survivors include his daughter, Nichele McGuffee of Austin, Tx; mother, Jean Cason of Weatherford, Tx; sister, Karen Edwards and husband Larry; brother Billy Nichols and wife Shelda; nieces Krissy and Kayla and nephew Austin; and numerous great nephews and nieces. He is also survived by a host of friends.
