Darrell Loyd Wadlington

Darrell Loyd Wadlington was born January 1, 1955, in Stephenville, Texas. He went to be with the Lord and so many loved ones with open arms waiting to welcome him home, on November 4, 2022.

Darrell attended and graduated from Brock in 1973, and later in 2000, he graduated from Weatherford College with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Engineering. He worked several different careers, such as Howard Brothers, T G &Y Family Center, Loyd and Sons Sand Hauling, Auto Zone, and at Weatherford College as a lab tech which led to getting his job at Texas Instruments in 2000 as a MAKE Engineering Tech. He worked there until retirement.

No matter what he was doing, he always put his whole heart into it.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 49 years, Linda Wadlington, who just left us 17 days ago; his father, Loyd Wadlington; sister, Linda Whitlock and husband, Alvie, and nephew, Loyd Whitlock; sisters and brothers in law, Gladys McKeown, Wanda and Ralph Ragle, Jean and Billy Roberts, Bessie Long, Barbara Lombardi, Royce and Abigail McKeown, and Floyd McKeown.

He is survived by his mother, Stollie Pearl Dixon; sister, Patricia Speers; brother, Terry and his wife, Dianne, all from Weatherford; brothers and sisters in law, Donald and Sara McKeown of Weatherford, and David and Linda McKeown of Denton, Bobby Long of Weatherford, and Diana McKeown of San Angelo. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces and great ones too.

Darrell and Linda will always be together in our hearts and memories...

Family visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 7, 2022, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, in Weatherford, Texas.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 8, 2022, in East Greenwood Cemetery, in Weatherford, Texas.
