Darla Deann Scherer

Darla Deann Scherer, 53, of Mineral Wells passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 at her residence. A visitation will be held at 1pm, Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with a celebration of Darla’s life beginning at 2pm. Darla was born October 20, 1965 in Weatherford to Robert James and Edna Joyce Cook Scherer. She enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with her family as well as her dog Zena. Darla is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother, Mike Scherer Sr. and wife Karen; sister, Teressa Gatzemeier and husband Dean; nieces and nephews, Mike and Monika Scherer, Chad and Stormie Lightfoot, Jason and Sheree Gray and Clint and Ashley Gibson; a multitude if great nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and beloved friends that are more like family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parker County Animal Shelter, in honor for her love of animals.
