Daniel Lee Green

March 6, 1941 — October 25, 2021

Daniel Lee Green, 80, beloved husband, father and grandfather who was born to Leslie Lee and Lydia Lois Green March 6, 1941, in Abilene, Texas; passed away early Monday, October 25, 2021.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Barbara Green; two daughters, Cindy and husband Pete Luna, Mansfield, TX and Leslie and husband Michael Stark, Weatherford, TX; grandchildren, Monica, Kealley, Logan and Kaeden and numerous nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Lois Stewart, and brother, Lewis Edward Green.

He married Barbara Vick on February 17, 1961 and enjoyed 60 years of marriage. He retired from General Motors then went on to work for Parker County for many years. Daniel enjoyed outdoor activities including hunting, fishing and smoking meats. He loved celebrating the holidays particularly Thanksgiving and Christmas with his family. Most of all, Daniel will be remembered for being a generous and loving person and for being very family oriented.

Visitation will be held from 5-7pm, on Thursday evening, October 28, 2021, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Home, 913 N. Elm St. in Weatherford. A graveside committal service will be held at 2 pm, Friday, October 29, at Zion Hill Cemetery north of Weatherford.

The family thanks everyone at Medical City Weatherford and College Park Rehab for their extraordinary kindness and compassion.
