Dale Edwin Hopwood Sr., 62, of Boyd, died Thursday, August 17, 2006 at his residence. Born April 8, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA., Dale was a longtime resident of Boyd and a Truck Driver. He is preceded in death by his father, Walter Hopwood, son, Brian Hopwood and grandson Benjamin Leggett. Funeral service:  10:00 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2006 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.Interment in Jaybird Cemetery in Parker County. He is survived by his Wife, Donna Hopwood of Boyd;  Daughters, Debra Matthews of Boyd, Sheila Turnage of Weatherford, Joy Head of Burnet and Kim Grant of Keller;  Sons, Troy Hopwood of Quincy, Illinois, Tracey Hopwood of Virginia and Dale Hopwood II of Amarillo;  Mother, Dorothy Palmer of Glen, MS;  Sister, Nancy Brenneman of Tennessee;  Brother, Rick Stitzer of Tennessee;  Grandchildren, Misty, Chris, Charlie, Mechelle, Jennifer, Douglas, Larry, Jeremy, Eric, Dale III, Amanda, Brian and Clinton and 10 great grandchildren.
