Constance Darlene Hyatt

Constance Darlene Hyatt passed away early Tuesday morning August 31, 2021 in her home surrounded by her family. If you picked up on "early" she passed at 5:05 a.m. —telling her family you will have a busy day you better get a move on. Her race ended in victory with her waking up in Glory with her Savior Jesus Christ.

“Connie" as she was known by her friends and family enjoyed watching her kids and grandkids play sports, working in her yard, and the occasional road trip to WinStar. She was a member of North Side Baptist Church and loved her church family.

Connie was born March 18, 1947, in Norfolk, VA and graduated from Weatherford High School in 1965. She married Roy L Hyatt December 20, 1968, after he returned from serving his country in Vietnam. Roy and Connie celebrated 52 years of marriage this past December.

They had 2 children Amy Hyatt Rutledge and Clinton Hyatt — it was during these early years that Connie honed her skills as referee and umpire heckler. It is often the topic of laughter talking about her stories at the baseball field! She doted on her 4 grandchildren and her 3 great grandchildren and unfortunately left us before meeting her 4th due in January 2022. One day all 8 of them will hear all the wonderful tales of Connie's life adventures and misadventures and will undoubtedly laugh and love her as much as we do.

Connie was preceded in death by her father Odell Goff, mother Velma Morgan "Brownye", and brother Russell Goff. 

She is survived by her husband Roy Hyatt, daughter Amy Rutledge and husband Eric, son Clinton Hyatt and wife Alison. Grandson Chase Rutledge and wife Allie, granddaughter Haley Walker and husband Kevin, Avery and Cassie Hyatt, great grandsons Tripp and Trew Walker and Rafe Rutledge.

Her sister Brenda Wood and husband Charley, sister Rhonda Cooper and a many cherished other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021, 10:00 a.m. at The Gathering Church, 1306 Dennis Rd., Weatherford, Texas 76087.
