Cody Alan Hill

October 27, 1983 — June 5, 2008

Cody Alan Hill, 24, of Weatherford was tragically taken from this world on Thursday June 5, 2008. Cody was a young man full of ambition, ready and willing to take the world by storm. He was rarely seen without a smile on his face and he could put a smile on the face of anyone. Cody dreamed of serving the world through the United States Army Rangers and Special Forces and was scheduled to ship out to boot camp in January of 2009. Always wanting and willing to go the extra mile to lend a helping hand, Cody was selfless and grew his hair long to donate it to cancer patients through the “Locks of Love Foundation”. Cody was a very spirited individual who was just that, an individual. He made his own path in life and did not succumb to pressures of society to be a certain way. Cody was his own man who walked this earth with his head held high refusing to be a follower but instead an independent young man with all the potential in the world. He was always willing to do anything for anyone, often putting others before himself.   The energy Cody had surrounding him was astonishing and easily rubbed off onto others. His spirit was contagious. Those nearest to Cody knew him as someone who could lighten the mood in a serious situation and offer a new perspective to a given circumstance. His love for others was obvious and he was always able to share. Though Cody had plenty of love to share, it was true love that he sought. He was a genuine romantic at heart and desired the opportunity to share his life and love with that special someone for all eternity. Cody is preceded in death by his grandfather, Percy Gene Finch. He is survived by his mother, Stacy Williams and her fiancée Gary of Weatherford, father Roger A Hill of Weatherford, sister, Meghan Williams of Weatherford, Maternal Grandmother Frieda Finch, and Paternal Grandparents Bill and Dorothy Gumfory, and a host of Loving family members and friends. Funeral service will be on Monday June 9, 2008 at 10 am in the Glabreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 11am-5pm on Sunday.
