Claude Michael Oliver

December 3, 1957 — October 25, 2016

Services to be held Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Bear Valley Community Church, 7900 Precinct Line Road, Colleyville Texas for Claude Michael Oliver. Born on December 3, 1958 to Richard "Red" Oliver and Lavenia Bell Oliver, he departed his earthly chains and flew home to God on October 25th, 2016. He loved God, knew Jesus, and played with the Holy Spirit.

Raised in Saginaw, Texas; a graduate of Boswell High School and Texas Christian University, Claude was loved by all who knew him. His rascal but charming smile filled the room with joy. He was everyone's favorite little brother and partner in crime. As a young boy, he played Cowboy and Indians on the farm, chased after his older brother, threw a few cow patties around and was a joy to his mother's heart and soul. He excelled in gymnastics and later the strength he developed as a kid helped him cope with physical disabilities that would have leveled the typical man. His love for all animals extended throughout his entire life. His pets included cats, dogs, Lady Love the coyote, several birds, and a rather large Iguana.

As he grew, he discovered scuba diving and traveling with his older brother. However his real talent and passion laid in music. As a teenager, the skies over the now Oliver Farm Airport, lit up as he and his friends jammed in a makeshift studio in one of the hangars. His guitar could be heard from horizon to horizon as they played nonstop till near dawn. His talent was loved and appreciated by many in the North Texas area.

Nothing, however, could compare to his love for his daughter, Leah, and grandson, Chandler. Claude gladly shuttled her to dance lessons and their secret fishing hole. Working as a private contractor, he happily managed his schedule to be with her as much as possible.

Claude is survived by his daughter, Leah Oliver; grandson, Chandler; Leah's fiance David and his sons Ty and Taylor. He is also survived by his brother Richard Oliver and his wife, Sherry of Peaster, Texas. He is preceded in death by his sister, Joan Oliver, formally of Fort Worth, Texas. He leaves behind numerous nephews and nieces. He is sadly missed by his four legged fur baby, Zoe.

Your chains are broken, your soul has been set free. May you rest in the arm's of God until we meet again.
