June 5, 1957 — April 14, 2010

  Cheryl Lee Goley, 52, of Weatherford, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2010, following a courageous battle with cancer. Cheryl was born June 5, 1957 in Kenmore, New York, to Rev. C. Gilmore and Ruth Elaine Geisthardt Samuelson.

  Cheryl was Deputy Treasurer of Parker County. Singing was her passion and she performed in Praise and Worship for many churches in the area. She was a member of Fellowship at Weatherford. 

  Cheryl was preceded in death by a son, Jordon L. Stokes.

  Survivors include her husband, Dan; children, Jeremy Stokes, Erin Riedel and husband, Cole, and Jon Goley and Afton McKnight; grandchildren, Layne J. Goley and Duke E. Riedel; parents, Rev. C. Gilmore and Ruth E. Samuelson of Hendersonville, North Carolina; sisters, Linda Marie Hyde Phillips and husband, Dale of Etowah, North Carolina, Darlene R. Clouse and husband, Herman M. II of Akron, New York, and Heidi B. Baker and husband, Clifton of Gore, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews, Christy Hudson, Micah Hyde, Andrew Clouse, Eric Clouse, Samantha Baker, Kasandra Baker, T.J. Baker and Patrisha Baker; and a great nephew, Esra Joel Hudson.

  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, at the Fellowship at Weatherford. Visitation is from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Annetta Cemetery.
