Charles William Bain

Charles William Bain (Chuck), of Weatherford, Texas passed away Saturday, June 13th, 2020.

Memorial Service: 5 p.m., Thursday June 18, 2020 at North Side Baptist Church 910 North Main St in Weatherford.

Charles was born September 15, 1945 in Racine, Wisconsin to Cecil and Nathalie Bain; he was one of three children. He graduated high school in 1964 and later studied law enforcement at Merrit College in California where he met the love of his life Katherine Bain (Kathy) and married on June 4, 1966 in Alameda, California.

Following his time at college, he pursued a career in civil service, working for the Department of Navy. He was employed at various Navy facilities such as the Naval Air Station, Alameda, California and the Naval Submarine Base Bangor, Strategic Weapons Facility, and the Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington State until he retired from the government Charles and Kathy later moved and worked in Cuba, Japan, and Guam until they both were retired and then moved to Texas in 2012.

Charles was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting, snorkeling, diving, golf, playing in WPT poker tournaments, spending time with family, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.

He was preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Nathalie Bain, brother John Patrick Bain, sister Brenda Bain, and grandson Phillip Emmert.

Charles is survived by his beloved wife Katherine Bain, daughter Carolyn Ann Bain Emmert and her husband Michael of Weatherford, Texas, and son Charles Kelly Bain of Virginia Beach, Virginia. He also is survived by six grandchildren: Jeremy, Brandon, Charles and Katherine Emmert, Brian and Rachael Bain, and three great-grandchildren: Paisley and Pyper Emmert and Kyson Walker.

His vibrant and competitive presence will deeply be missed by all.
