Charles Randall Free

Charles Randall Free, 62, died in a tragic boating accident behind Possum Kingdom Lake Dam on May 31, 2019. He was enjoying life to its fullest, fishing for the big fish with his buddy.
Randy was born April 10, 1957, in Weatherford, Texas, to Charles and Pauline Free. Randy was raised along with his two sisters, Sarah and Becky in Millsap. He graduated from Millsap High School in 1976.
In December of 1981, Randy met his “only true love” Anita Hammond and they fell in love during that first dance. Randy and Anita were married on November 13, 1982. They became proud parents of Lucas Andrew and Jacob Thomas. Randy loved making memories with his beloved family and friends, but one of his greatest joys was time spent with his three grandsons. He loved being a PaPa.
There will be a celebration of Randy’s life on Sunday June 23, 2019 at the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse from 2p.m.-6p.m. Randy loved Big, lived Big and will be celebrated Big.
Survivors include his wife, Anita of Millsap; sons, Lucas and his wife Amy, of Millsap and Jacob of Millsap; grandsons, Landen Andrew, Mason Randall and Wyatt Charles; mother Pauline Free, of Millsap; sisters, Sarah Johns and husband Lloyd, of Mineral Wells and Becky Free of Millsap; six nephews, Justin Johns, Jason Reddin and wife Amanda, Zachary Johns, Tommy Ellis, Shane Ellis and Montana Ellis and wife Nikki; sister-in-law, Kim Hammond and her family of Kentucky; a multitude of great nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and beloved friends who are more like family. Randy will be greatly missed for many reasons by all who loved him, but mostly because of the way he treated others with respect and kindness.

Preceded in death by his father, Charles Thomas Free; grandparents, Bea and George Duncan and Jack and Odessa Duvall; father-in-law, Carl Thomas Hammond.
