Cecil Glenn Vermillion

Cecil Glenn Vermillion, 85, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011. Cecil was born January 14, 1926 in Melissa, TX.  He joined the US Navy and later played professional baseball. Cecil was on the Board of Directors for Horseshoe Bend Country Club and a member of Horseshoe Bend Baptist Church.  He retired from Doran Chevrolet in Dallas. Cecil enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, playing cards, dominoes, and dancing.  He loved his family and friends, his community and he loved the Lord. Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Joyce Vermillion; daughter, Shawn Young and family of Carrollton, TX and Traci Bakka and family of Weatherford, TX; one grandson, two granddaughters, two great grandsons and one great granddaughter; a brother, Joe Vermillion and family of Weatherford, TX and numerous relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2pm Saturday, December 3rd at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.  Visitation is from 6 to 8pm Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Greenwood Cemetery.
