Carolyn McCurdy

Carolyn McCurdy, age 72, of Weatherford, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 10, 2020. Carolyn was born to Grady and Ruby Newton on April 19, 1947 in Borger, Texas. Carloyn was a Secretary in the Hotel Industry and a Real Estate Agent in Denver, Colorado, most recently sold Frogg Toggs while RV’ing with her husband, Wayne. Carolyn was a member of Central Christian Church of Weatherford. She was extremely creative and loved collecting things such as rocks and feathers to make things with, she loved gardening, traveling, sitting on the back porch drinking her coffee while watching the squirrels and the birds, journaling, and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. 

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 24 years, Wayne McCurdy, children, Tammerly Sanford and husband Sam of Georgetown, CO, Steven D’Andrea and wife June of Edwards, CO, David D’Andrea and wife Kaylene of Brighton, CO, Lora Roth and husband Dan of Montrose, CO, Shelah Vavrina of Custer, SD, Mara Lawson and husband Mike of Grand Junction, CO, Michael McCurdy of Buena Vista, CO, and Ryan McCurdy and wife Katie of Frederick, CO, 8 Grandchildren, and 2 Great Grandchildren. Carolyn will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
