Obituary for Bobby Joe Monroe

Bobby Joe Monroe, 89 years young, formerly of Weatherford Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 28, 2018 in his Arlington home surrounded by his family. The youngest of four children, Bobby was born July 8th, 1929 in Eula Tx.

Bobby was a graduate of Clyde High School in 1946. He worked 30+ years for LTV Aerospace Corporation, Vought Systems Division building several different aircraft types. After retiring from LTV he and his wife, Jeweldene bought property in Eastland where they enjoyed the country lifestyle of cattle raising. Bobby and his wife enjoyed traveling in their RV visiting county courthouses, especially those in the state of Texas. They traveled all across the United States, and Canada visiting museums and historical sites. One of Bobby’s favorite memories was walking on glaciers in the Yukon.

Bobby enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and working in his yard. Affectionately known as the Squirrel Whisperer, Bobby loved small animals that were attracted to him by his gentle spirit. Although very shy, his contagious sense of humor helped him make friends easily and diffuse uncomfortable situations.
