Billy Shack Shackelford

On Tuesday, January 06, 2015, Billy Gibbs “Shack” Shackelford, went home!
Billy was born June 16, 1932 in Parker County. Billy and Margaret married on December 10, 1954. They were both active, lifelong member of Baker Baptist Church. Billy worked at ACME Brick, Bond Feed Store and GISD as a bus driver while also owning and operating a dairy in Southern Parker County for 32 years.
Billy was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Margaret Riddle Shackelford.
Mr. Shackelford is survived by three children; son Barney Shackelford and wife Mariney of Springtown; daughter, Julie McConathy and husband Bobby of Devine; and daughter, Erlene Hickey and husband James of Weatherford; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2015 at Baker Baptist Church. Visitation 6-8 pm Thursday at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Interment in Long Creek Cemetery.
