Billy Gene Chastain

Billy Gene Chastain, age 81, of Weatherford, died Sunday morning, January 15, 2012 at his residence.  Born November 8, 1930 in Jack County to Ora and Erby Lee Chastain, a resident of Weatherford for many years.  He served four years in the U. S. Navy and four years in the Navy Reserve.  Bill retired after 35 years of employment as a Material Control Handler from General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin.  He was a member of the South Main Church of Christ. Survivors: Wife of 60 years, Winnie Vick Chastain of Weatherford; two daughters, Deborah Thompson and husband, Frank of Fort Worth and Judy Hoover of Fort Worth; five grandchildren, Jennifer and Johnathan Thompson, Eric and wife Sarah Hoover and Nicholas Hoover and Katie Hoover; one great grandchild, Lillian Hoover; brother, Bob Chastain of Bryson; sister, Elizabeth Pierce of Bryson and good friends, Charles and Clyde Faulkner and Gayle Hall. Funeral Service will be held at 10 Am Wednesday, January 18, 2012 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment in the Turner Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorials may be sent to Turner Cemetery in care of Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Home.
