Billie Pauline Berry,90, passed away Monday, May 11, 2020 at Weatherford Health Care Center. Billie was born March 31, 1930 in Denton, to Rufus Wesley and Dollie Marie Willis Powers. She married Billy Joe Wheeler, together they had one daughter Cherry Lynn, born in 1947. Billie later married Dusty Lewis Cross and had three children, Freddie Carrol, Judy Gail and Samuel Lewis Cross. She was also married to Tom Galanis, Robert Whedbee and Frank Warren Berry, to which no children were born. During her life she lived in many places including, Fort Worth, Arlington, Grand Prairie, Greenville, Ft Lauderdale, FL, Claude, Germany, Virginia before settling in Weatherford, Texas in 1980. Billie worked as a waitress, secretary, bookkeeper,explosive assembler, seamstress and lounge owner. She became a member of North Main Church of Christ in Weatherford, where she was in charge of the food pantry for many years. Billing had many talents including, sewing, tailoring her own clothes, crocheting, macramé, gardening and many other crafts. She was a very independent lady until alzheimers and dementia took control of her life. 

Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Berry in 2005, her parents, daughter Cherry Lynn Wheeler Geeo in 1993, grandson Billy Joe Geeo in 2007 and a sister, Cherry June Powers Smith. She is survived by her children, Freddie Carrol Cross Johnson, Judy Gail Cross Reyes both of Mesquite and Samuel Cross of Farmers Branch; eight grandchildren and many great grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Ladell Lindsey of Vernon and Linda (Mrs. C.L.)Moore of Bedford; brothers, Richard Britton of Conroe and Jimmy Lee Powers of Azle; along with many nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service: 2pm, Wednesday at the Zion Hill Cemetery.
