Bill Driggers

December 21, 1926 — August 3, 2007

Bill Driggers went to be with his Lord, Jesus on August 3, 2007. Mr. Driggers was born in Dallas, TX December 21, 1926 to Porter Driggers and Lorene (Miller) Driggers. He was a veteran of WWII where he served his country proudly in the United States Army. Mr. Driggers married the former Lee Terrell on March 1, 1952 and the two remained friends and lovers until the time of his death. Together, in love, they were blessed with three children. Mr. Driggers was preceded in death by his mother and father and by his son-in-law Charly Sones.   Mr. Driggers was a 50 Year Masonic Service Award recipient, a life member of Scottish Rite SJ of Free Masonry, 32nd  Dallas Lodge and was an executive in the trucking and heavy haul business until his retirement in 1988.   He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lee Driggers; son Steve Driggers and his companion Sarah Marion; son Mike Driggers and his wife Ellen Driggers;  daughter Karen (Driggers) Sones;  grandchildren Jennifer (Driggers) Campbell and husband Michael Campbell, Joseph Driggers, Christian Sones, Christopher Sones, and Rylie Driggers;  great grandson Bennett Campbell; brother Mike Driggers and sister June Rawlinson.    A visitation service for Mr. Driggers will be held at Galbreaith­ Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm St. Weatherford, TX 76086 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, August 5, 2007. The funeral service is scheduled at Western Hills Church of Christ, Fort Worth TX for 10 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2007. The graveside service is at 2 p.m. in Grove Hill Memorial Park Dallas, TX. The family requests donations to Vitas Hospice (vitascharityfund.org) in lieu of flowers. Galbreaith Pickard Funeral  Chapel in charge of arrangements.
