Betty Irene Mullins

Betty Irene Mullins passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at the age of 87. Betty was born on February 27, 1936, in Welch, West Virginia to Robert Greene and Irene Phillips Greene. She dedicated her life to her work and family. For most of her adult life, Betty worked alongside her husband, helping to build a string of successful businesses in transportation and lodging.

But she made sure to enjoy life, too. Betty liked to travel when she was able; She and her husband used to love taking the annual trip to Alaska or enjoying an Alaskan cruise. She also loved animals, dogs being her favorite. Even Muscles, her Brittany Spaniel, though he gave her a lot of grief.

Betty was spiritual in her beliefs, making sure to tune in to Joel Osteen every Sunday morning. When you walked into her home, she always had Fox News on in the background and particularly enjoyed Fox News Contributors, Kennedy and Ainsley Earnhardt. She also made sure not to miss Dateline when it was on.

Left to cherish Betty’s memory are her son, Michael Mullins; daughter-in-law, Judy Mullins; granddaughters, Amber Mullins, Britney Mullins, Ashley Mullins, Lyndsie Burleson, Summer Hart, and Hyland Estol Mullins; great-grandchildren, Morgan Watson, Aria Newman, Blake Burleson, and Blair Burleson; sister, Brenda Greene Jones and husband Robert; brother, Jerry Greene and wife Holly; sister, Ann Wyatt and husband Bill; and brother, Roy Greene and wife Pam. 

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harrison Estol Mullins; son, Barry Mullins; and brothers, Robert Greene and Frank Greene.

A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Her final resting place will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Weatherford, Texas, next to her husband.
