Betty Alice Sherrod

Betty Alice Sherrod, 71, of Weatherford passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012 at home. Betty was born May 10, 1940 in Goldthwaite, Texas to Virginia Rae and Johnny Lester Geeslin.
Mrs. Sherrod was a homemaker and a member of Center Point Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Earl Sherrod Sr. and son, Eddie Earl Sherrod Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Maryln Sherrod of Weatherford; son, Johnnie Sherrod of Buda, Texas; mother, Virginia Rae Geeslin of Austin; sisters, Patsy Crooks of Kerrville and Benita Gunn of Buda, Texas and a brother, Johnny Ray Geeslin of Austin.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM, Monday at Center Point Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 to 1 PM, Monday at the funeral home.
