Beth Smiley Becker

Beth Smiley Becker, age 58, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 28, 2013. Beth was born March 21, 1955 to Tom and Barbara Smiley in Nashville, TN.
   She was a longtime resident and graduate of Aledo; a member of Aledo Christian Center and Lusaka Community Church in Lusaka, Zambia.  Beth served alongside her husband as a missionary in Kenya and Zambia from 1990 until 2013.
   She leaves behind her husband of 36 years, Dr. David Becker of Aledo, TX; sons, Caleb Becker and wife, Ale of Aledo, TX/Washington D.C., Joshua Becker and wife, Alex of Glendale, AZ/Lusaka, Zambia and Scott Becker and fiancée Emi Phillips of Tulsa, Oklahoma/Lusaka, Zambia; parents, Tom and Barbara Smiley of Aledo, TX; sisters, Aledo Mayor Kit Marshall (twin sister) and husband, Hugh of Aledo, TX, Laura Paulk and husband, Larry of Denver, NC and B.J. Goins and husband, Ron of Roundrock, TX; numerous nieces, nephews and friends around the world.

Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Friday, August 30, 2013 at
Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, Weatherford, TX.
The funeral service
will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 2 PM at the Aledo Christian
School Gym, 400 Queen St. (under the Aledo water tower) with Rev. Tommy
Briggs officiating with a private interment to follow.
