Bernice Ray Woods

Bernice "Buster" Ray Woods, age 94, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021 at his home in Weatherford, TX. Bernice was born July 27, 1927 in Weatherford, TX to Robert Woods and Lula Booker Woods. Bernice was an Army veteran serving during WWII, Military Police, and a golden glove boxer. He enjoyed gambling and was a member of both Moose Lodge and VFW Texarkana.

Bernice is survived by his daughter, Brenda and Greg Boyd; son, Dean Woods; grandchildren, Heather Kennedy and husband Al, Wesley Howard and wife Cristina; step-grandchildren, Holli and Jonah Boyd as well as seven great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, November 27, 2021 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment in DFW National Cemetery at a later date.
