Banister Robert Bailey

  Banister Robert Bailey, age 83, of Baytown, formerly of Weatherford, passed away Monday, October 13, 2014, at the St. James House, in Baytown. 

  Mr. Bailey was born on January 1, 1931, in Weatherford, to Frank and Joyce Bailey. Banister was a chemist for Cymer Oil and Gas. 

  Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Sr. and Joyce Bailey; brothers, Frank, Jr. and Bob Bailey; and sister, Doris Tandy.

  Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty Bailey of Baytown; sons, Robert Bailey and wife, Neldena of Baytown, Gary Bailey and wife, Caren of Baytown, Dana Bailey and wife, Amy of Highlands; brother, Harvey Bailey and wife, Karen of Weatherford; sisters, Yvonne Vernon of Weatherford, Alma Ford and husband, Lantham of Enid, Oklahoma, and Emily Lambert of Weatherford; grandchildren, Seth Bailey and wife, Carissa, Elizabeth Mayben and husband, James, Rachel Bailey, and Jacob Bailey; great grandchildren, Avery Bailey, Benjamin Mayben, and Emma Mayben.

  Graveside 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 17, 2014, at Dicey Cemetery, in Weatherford. 

  Visitation 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
