Banister Robert Bailey, age 83, of Baytown, formerly of Weatherford, passed away Monday, October 13, 2014 at the St. James House in Baytown. Mr. Bailey was born on January 1, 1931 in Weatherford to Frank and Joyce Bailey. Banister was a chemist for Cymer Oil and Gas. Mr. Bailey is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Sr. and Joyce Bailey, brothers, Frank Jr. and Bob Bailey and sister, Doris Tandy.
Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty Bailey of Baytown, sons, Robert Bailey and wife Neldena of Baytown, Gary Bailey and wife Caren of Baytown, Dana Bailey and wife Amy of Highlands, brother, Harvey Bailey and wife Karen of Weatherford, sisters, Yvonne Vernon of Weatherford, Alma Ford and husband, Lantham of Enid, OK, and Emily Lambert of Weatherford, grandchildren, Seth Bailey and wife Carissa, Elizabeth Mayben and husband James, Rachel Bailey, Jacob Bailey, great grandchildren, Avery Bailey, Benjamin Mayben and Emma Mayben


Graveside, 11 am, Friday, October 17, 2014 at Dicey Cemetery in Weatherford. Visitation 5-7 Thursday at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
