Aubrey Estell Kinser

Aubrey E. Kinser, SFC RET, 89, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home, on the morning of Friday, March 24, 2017.
Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 10 A.M., on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church, 301 S. Main Street, in Weatherford. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 P.M., on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at the Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford. Burial will be held at 2:15 P.M., Wednesday, at DFW National Cemetery, in Dallas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association of North Central Texas, 2630 W. Freeway, Suite 100, in Fort Worth, TX 76102 or to the First United Methodist Church of Weatherford, Texas.
Aubrey was born July 18, 1927 in Leitchfield, Kentucky to Willie and Ella Kinser. Aubrey was career U.S. Army serving tours in Korea and Vietnam and achieved the rank of Sergeant First Class. Following his military retirement, he later was an engineer equipment supervisor for the U.S. Civil Service at Fort Hood, Texas. Aubrey later worked for many years at Mr. C’s Car Wash in Weatherford. He was a certified NASCAR mechanic. Aubrey enjoyed outdoor activities including gardening and camping. He was an avid quail hunter with his beloved bird dogs and was an accomplished sharp shooter. He was a lifetime member of the Baptist Church. Most of all, Aubrey cherished time spent with his family.
Aubrey is survived by his wife Jewel Kinser of 62 years; children, Michael Kinser, Caron (Bill) Symon, Caroline (Casey) Jones, and Carolyn (Greg) Gable; grandchildren, Will (Lauren) Blevins, Westley (Haley) Blevins, Chad (Kali) Dabbs; his great-granddaughter, Presley Jewel Blevins; sisters, Ruby Gardener, Mary Lou Wright, Ann Parigan, and Alice Skaggs; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Aubrey was preceded in death by his siblings, Katherine Gilspie, David, Jones, Randal, Harold and Stuart Kinser.
