Arlie Gene Self

Arlie Gene Self, 92, of Weatherford, passed away Thursday morning, September 26, 2019.
Visitation will be held from 2 until 4, on Sunday afternoon, September 29, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford. A graveside committal service will be held at 11 A.M., on Monday, September 30, at the Poolville Cemetery.
Arlie was born in Lamesa, Texas to Walter and Connie Self. He married Sarah M. Estes on March 5, 1950 and together had two sons, Ray & Gregory. He enjoyed fixing cars and gardening. He was an over-the-road truck driver and later retired from General Dynamics. Arlie will be remembered for his kind personality and for being available for anyone. He will be dearly missed by his beloved family.
Arlie is survived by his wife, Sarah; his son, Ray Glenn (Susan) Self; and by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Arlie was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Allen Self.
