Arlene Wossum Ford

Arlene Wossum Ford, 91, of Weatherford, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Holland Lake Nursing Home in Weatherford.
Arlene was born on November 29, 1923 in the Berwick community, in Jack County, Texas.   She was the daughter of the late Ivey Lee Dodson and Sadie Louise Hannah.  Arlene graduated from Jermyn High School in 1940 and attended Weatherford College.   Arlene retired from Citizens National Bank in 1989 and was a member of Couts United Methodist Church in Weatherford for 70 years, the United Methodist Women, the Wampler Floral Club and the Weatherford Business and Professional   Women’ s Club. 
Arlene was predeceased by her husbands Oran Wossum and J.W. Ford; daughter, Margaret Wossum; sister,  Lessie Middlebrooks; and brothers M.L. Dodson and H.L. Dodson.
Arlene is survived by her son, Gene Wossum and wife Cheryl; daughter, Marcia Wossum; grandson, Geoffrey Wossum and wife Emily; and by her great-grandson, Ian Wossum.   The family wishes to thank Dr. Mark Eidson for his kind and compassionate care during this difficult time. 
 
 

Funeral - Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at 1:00 P.M. at Couts United Methodist Church in Weatherford.   Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery.  
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, from 6:00 until 8:00, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford and from noon until the time of service at church.
