Adrenia Elizabeth Hickey Wyland

Adrenia Elizabeth Hickey Wyland was born November 20, 1946, in Poteet, Texas to Will Silas “Buster” and Ruth Victoria Hickey. An admitted “Momma’s girl” she rarely strayed far from her parents and her Poteet friends. She loved playing dominoes, going to horseraces, water aerobics, traveling, George Strait, Hallmark movies, working in the yard, family get-togethers and cruises. Her life was filled with love and laughter, and she had a heart of gold. She never met a stranger and always found someone to talk to whether she was in Walmart, the grocery store or the doctor’s office. Apparently, a Hickey trait, she always did things “her way” and on her own time schedule! Adrenia, above all, loved her family and doted on her children, grandkids, and great grandkids. She was well known to everyone as MeMaw. After moving to Weatherford, she never failed to tell anyone who would listen how happy she was and how blessed she was to get to see her family grow and thrive. She was extremely proud of each and every one of them. 

On June 15, 2021, she was welcomed into Heaven by her beloved husband and best friend, Hugh Wyland and her parents Buster and Ruth. 

Adrenia is survived by her daughter Vicki Ruth Sappington and spouse Brent, and son Danny Myers, and brother Darrell Hickey and wife Sandy. Also surviving her are her grandchildren Zachary Myers and Meghan Myers, Cody Sappington and wife Mariah and Ashley Fielder and husband Chris. Memaw will be greatly missed by her great-grandchildren, Haizleigh, Quinnleigh, Kal-El, Addyson and Corbin.

As we saw a light go out here on Earth, Heaven just got a little bit brighter.
