James Valentine "JV" and Norma Plowman
In Loving Memory
JV and Norma Plowman purchased Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in 1975 and served the community of Weatherford with love and compassion for many years. Their legacy will be continued for many years to come by their son, James Plowman. JV passed away in October of 2007 and Norma in March of 2022. They are both missed within our community and especially by their immediate family and the extended GP family.

James R. Plowman has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer for over 40 years. James is a native of Weatherford and has been active in the community all of his life. He is dedicated to the needs of bereaved families and specializes in the personalization of funeral services to meet the needs of each individual family. A member of the Oak Ridge Church of Christ. He has two daughters and four grandchildren. He has numerous hobbies including woodworking, cycling, amateur photography, and computers. A favorite quote would be, if asked to facilitate a task not already scheduled, “I’ll get to it in my spare time between midnight and 2:00 a.m.”
James R. Plowman
Misty was born in Weatherford and grew up in the funeral business. She owned and operated “Memories in Bloom Florist” for 10 years before selling her business and joining our staff. She is married to Travis Engel and has two children Madison and Caden. She is a member of Milestone Church in Keller and sings on the worship team. Misty is actively involved in the community and currently serves on the CASA Hope for Children Board of Directors and as an Ambassador for the East Parker County Chamber of Commerce.
Angie was born and raised in Weatherford and grew up as part of Galbreaith Pickard. She married Jose Hernandez in 2007 and they now have 2 boys. She attends Northside Baptist Church and spends her extra time watching her boys play sports and doing family activities.
Melody Turner, born and raised in Weatherford, Texas and currently lives in the Brock Community. She is married to Roudy Turner and has three children. Melody graduated from Dallas Institute of Funeral Services in 2002 and has served many families at Galbreaith Pickard ever since.
Rachel Beck joined Galbreaith Pickard in 2021. Rachel holds an AAS in Mortuary Science from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service and an AAS in Psychology from Weatherford College. She is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the State of Texas.
Rachel is a dedicated advocate for the Alzheimer's Association, a cause she holds dear. Her greatest joy comes from her son, Seth. In her free time, Rachel enjoys spending time with family, kayaking, hiking, and other outdoor activities.
Rachel is passionate about helping others and finds deep meaning in assisting families honor their loved ones. She values the opportunity to connect with families and help them create a lasting tribute to the lives of those they cherish.
Maria was born and raised in Mineral Wells, Texas, where she currently resides with her husband, Larry and daughter, Presley. Maria enjoys fishing in any of the surrounding lakes, playing her PS5. She became a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the summer of 2021, and joined the Galbreaith-Pickard staff in the fall of 2024.
Conrad Ross, lives in Azle, Texas. In 2012 he married his wife, Amy and they have 3 dogs. Conrad served in the Marine Corp and was a chef prior to entering the funeral industry where he has been with Galbreaith Pickard since 2015.
Tim Fisher was born and raised in Weatherford, Texas. He has two daughters, five grandchildren, and 2 dogs. He is a member of North Main Church of God. Tim is a board member of the Texas Southern Gospel School of Music as well as the Texas State Singing Convention and spends most of his free time traveling the southern states of the US attending the singings. Tim joined our team in 2018 and enjoys assisting families following their services as well as pre need arrangements.
Born in Virginia, Donnetta Howard has called many places home throughout her life. She first settled in the Weatherford area in 2002 and presently attends church at Real Family Fellowship in Azle, Texas. Blessed with five talented children and six cherished grandchildren, Donnetta often says they are the greatest joys and treasures of her life. An avid traveler, she’s always ready to embark on her next adventure.
Donnetta began working in the funeral industry at age nineteen helping families prearrange their services. With her vast experience, both in family services and as an administrative assistant, Donnetta has built meaningful relationships and honed her expertise in helping families navigate life’s most tender moments. She joined our team in October 2022, and possesses a genuine passion for honoring the lives of those who have passed.
Donnetta is dedicated to assisting families in creating meaningful and dignified tributes that celebrate their loved ones. Her goal is to ensure every life is memorialized with the respect, care, and personalization it deserves.
Chelsea Dorman, from Weatherford, Texas, is known for her warm heart and vibrant personality. Family is at the center of Chelsea’s life, and she enjoys nothing more than spending quality time together, especially during family game nights. A lover of good food, she can often be found indulging in her favorite Mexican dishes.
Outside of her family, Chelsea has a creative side, often taking up embroidery as a relaxing hobby. She’s also an active supporter of her kids, attending their sports events and cheering them on every chance she gets. Faith plays an important role in her life, and she is a dedicated member of Northside Baptist Church, where she finds community and strength.
Known for her sense of humor and loving nature, Chelsea makes a lasting impact on everyone she meets, balancing the joys of family, faith, and hobbies with ease.
Debby Steensma, was born and raised in Parker County and married Jim Steensma in 1982. They raised 3 children and she is now the proud "Grandma" to 4 beautiful grandchildren. She graduated from Lubbock Christian University in 1986 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She is a lifetime member of South Main Church of Christ. Upon her retirement from teaching, Debby joined Galbreaith Pickard in 2014.
Madison Scott was born and raised here in Weatherford, Texas. She now resides in Mineral Wells, Texas, with her husband Matt and their four fur babies. Maddie joined our team in 2021, after many years in retail banking. She enjoys reading and being with her family & friends in her spare time.
Pam Wilkins has lived in the Weatherford area for 8 years. She joined our firm in 2021 following the passing of her late husband and high school sweetheart of 55 years and 60 days. Pam has 3 adult children, 12 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. She enjoys family time, drawing, and spending time outdoors and in her flower garden.
Becky Reed is married to Jack Reed and has one daughter, one son, and four grandchildren. She moved to Willow Park in 2006 and joined our firm in 2016 after retiring as a Nurse Practionier. She loves spending time with her family and shooting photography. Becky is a member of the Klassy Kloggers and attends South Main Church of Christ.
Royce joined our firm in July 2021. He started his profession in the funeral industry after experiencing the loss of a family member. Royce lives in Mineral Wells with his wife of 30 years, Autta. They have 3 adult children and are looking forward to many grandchildren. He loves spending time with his wife and taking care of their farm and all the animals.
Donna has had the privilege of living in Weatherford, TX, for most of her life and has been a part of the Galbreaith Pickard family since 2018. In addition to her role as a receptionist, she assists with funeral services to ensure our families receive the care and support they need during difficult times. She married her husband, Clay, in 1974, and they are the proud parents to two wonderful children and grandparents to three beautiful granddaughters. Before joining the funeral service, Donna and her husband owned Bowman Electronics for 30 years, a rewarding experience that allowed her to connect with the community in a meaningful way. Outside of work, she is an active member of Baker Baptist Church, where she finds strength and inspiration. Donna is honored to serve our community and support families through some of their most challenging moments.
Charla Henderson was born and raised in Parker County. She is the proud mom to her son and her fur babies. Charla graduated from Troy University in Troy, Alabama, and is a retired teacher of 37 years. Charla loves spending time with her family and friends. She joined our firm in 2021 and is honored to help serve families in their time of need.
Donald Jones was born in Snyder, Texas, and moved to Weatherford in 1962. Don has nine children, seven boys, and two girls. He joined Galbreaith Pickard in 2009 assisting with funerals and currently handles the maintenance and cleaning at the offices. He attends New Hope Baptist Church and enjoys spending time with his family and friends as often as he can.
