Eugene Raymond Jackson, 75, life long resident of Weatherford, passed away Friday morning February 12, 2010 at home. Raymond, as he was known to everyone, was born April 3, 1934 in Weatherford to Roy and Mattie Jackson. Raymond and his loving wife Nelda married June 3, 1960.
Raymond was an employee of the City of Weatherford from 1962 until 1997. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church and a thirty seven year member of the Odd Fellows of White Settlement. Raymond loved gardening but his favorite pastime was winning at Dominoes.
Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by a sister, Roylene Jackson; his parents and a son, Larry Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Nelda; daughters, Beverly Brown and husband Paul and Rebecca Teague and husband Rickey, all of Weatherford; sons, Ricky Jackson and wife Sara of Weatherford and Roy Gene Jackson of Mineral Wells; eight grandchildren, Andy Brown, Tamra Lewis, James Brown, Jennifer Todd, Amanda Jackson, Raymond Teague, Will Teague and Katy Jackson and three great grandchildren; sister, Ruth Valtierra and husband Lupe of Mineral Wells; brothers, Edward Jackson of Alabama and Leroy Jackson and wife Carmen of Baytown and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Monday in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Visitation is from three to five pm Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Herring Cemetery.

I will certainly miss Mr. Jackson, his love for his cattle, and his looking over everyone's else's cattle in the neighbor, as he counted mine every day. If one was missing, without him being notified, I certainly got a phone call. I hope he could see that his cattle got extra cubes on Friday, the day of his death. Pam
