Obituary for Rose Lynn Hillger

Rose Lynn Hillger, 60, of Weatherford, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, September 28, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family and friends.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at Central Cemetery, 4260 Old Agnes Road, north of Weatherford. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Parker County Animal Shelter.

Rose was born April 30, 1957 in Sweetwater, Texas to J.C. and Bernice Armstrong. She married Ronald Hillger on February 18, 1979 and together had two children, Ronnie and Dusty. Rose was a rancher, who loved the outdoors, and particularly being on her tractor. She will be remembered for her selfless nature and for always being there for everyone. She will also fondly be remembered for giving great care to her many “critters.” Most of all, Rose cherished time spent with her family and with her many friends.

Rose is survived by her husband, Ronald; children, Ronnie (Shannon) Hillger and Dusty Lynn (Chris) Ford; grandchildren, Alexis, Ashley, Bailey, Colton, and Weston; and by her siblings, Joy Gibson, Molly Holland, and Tom Armstrong.

In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Armstrong.
