Michael Calvin Hartz

Michael Calvin Hartz age76 of Weatherford, went home to his Heavenly Father Sunday, August 7, 2016. Michael was born February 23, 1940 in Altoona, PA to Robert and Mary Hartz. He was a retired electronics technician, a Deacon at First Baptist Church of Weatherford, a member of both Arlington and Fort Worth gem and mineral clubs and the Seniors Circle of Weatherford. Michael loved Jesus and his family, was quick witted and loved playing cards, board games, was a great jewelry maker, enjoyed singing, dancing, hiking and traveling.

Michael is survived by his wife Deborah Ann Hartz of Weatherford; Daughter Kimberly Whitman and husband Kevin of TN; Daughter Julia Hartz of Weatherford; Son Barry Hartz and wife Evelyn of Argyle; Son Brian Hartz and wife Shirley of MD, Son Bill Westbrook and wife Jillian of VA; Son Richard Westbrook of Weatherford; Son RJ Westbrook and wife Jackie of Weatherford; Sister Shirley Lattieri of PA; Brother Robert Hartz of PA; Brother Merrill Hartz of VA; Nine grandchildren; Two Great-Grandsons; Numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews that he loved with all his heart.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents; First-Wife Doris J. Hartz; Sister Margaret “Peg” Hartz and Sister Elizabeth “Bets” Funk.

Funeral 10:00am Thursday, August 11, 2016 at First Baptist Church located at 221 W Church St. Weatherford, TX 76086. Pastor Lyndale Holloway will officiate. Visitation 9-10am Thursday at First Baptist Church. Interment 2:00pm Thursday at DFW National Cemetery.
